Randi McCormick Principal Biologist and Founder of MBI- Ms. McCormick has over 24 years of experience conducting and designing field surveys, monitoring, report writing, biological resource education programs, biological resource management permit preparation, regulatory agency coordination and compliance and client contact. Ms. McCormick supervises an eight member staff in addition to seasonal employees and subcontractors. Her current duties consist of designing and overseeing field surveys, coordinating all phases of project completion, client communication and coordination with agency personnel on behalf of clients. She has experience in all phases of biological inventory, documentation and permitting in California. Ms. McCormick is an advocate for increasing the knowledge of others in the field of biology and designs educational materials and programs for clients, instructs as a volunteer for field biology workshops, and mentors students and recent college graduates in the biological sciences. Having supervised and designed hundreds of surveys for the detection of San Joaquin kit fox, among other small mammals and reptiles, she teaches related workshops, some of which include: Sensitive Small Mammal Species of the San Joaquin Valley Workshop in 2010 and a Blunt-nosed Leopard Lizard Workshop in 2009. Ms. McCormick received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, Bakersfield.

Kacy O'Malley Senior Biologist, Project Manager - Ms. O'Malley has been with MBI since March 2001 and has a total of 13 years of biological consulting experience. Her duties include supervising and scheduling field surveys for client projects, supervising field teams, coordinating all phases of project completion, conducting field surveys, monitoring, report writing and client contact. Her project management duties include coordinating field work, assisting clients with permit compliance and interpretation, communication with agency personnel, managing MBI's field survey and monitoring activities on assigned projects. During her time at MBI, Ms. O'Malley has worked as a biological monitor on a wide variety of projects including oil and gas production, wind energy and general development projects. She has experience with implementation of Federal Biological Opinions, FESA and CESA Incidental Take Permits, CDFG Streambed Alteration Agreements and CEQA mitigation monitoring plans. Ms. O'Malley received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, Bakersfield.

JayAnna Miller Associate Biologist - Ms. Miller has been with MBI since April 2004 and has 8 years of biological consulting experience. She conducts and supervises field surveys, supervises field teams, coordinates MBI's resource mapping and manages selected projects. Her project management duties include coordinating field work, assisting clients with permit compliance and interpretation, communication with agency personnel, and managing MBI's field survey and monitoring activities on assigned projects. During her time at MBI, Ms. Miller has worked as a biological monitor on a wide variety of projects including oil and gas production, wind energy and general development projects. She has experience with implementation of CEQA mitigation monitoring plans, Federal Biological Opinions, CESA Incidental Take Permits, and CDFG Streambed Alteration Agreements. Ms. Miller obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Il.

Steve Pruett Senior Project Manager- Mr. Pruett joined MBI in March 2012 bringing 21 years of biological consulting experience to the firm. Mr. Pruett's duties include project management, field survey coordination and leadership, client assistance, agency communication, as well as small mammal trapping tasks. Mr. Pruett has experience over a wide range of projects in central California that have involved implementation of FESA and CESA permits, CDFG Streambed Alteration Agreements, CEQA mitigation monitoring plans and many other mitigation and monitoring projects. Mr. Pruett received a Bachelor of Science in Business/Finance from California State University, Bakersfield, a Masters in Education from University of LaVerne, and has completed two years of graduate study in Biology at California State University, Bakersfield.

Emily Campbell Biologist- Ms. Campbell joined MBI upon graduating college in May 2011 after working as a seasonal biological technician for the company during the summer of 2010. Her current duties consist of providing biological consulting support for MBI projects, including conducting general biological inventories and focused surveys for threatened and endangered species of the San Joaquin Valley. In addition, Ms. Campbell provides biological monitoring for oil and gas production activities in central California oilfields and has approximately 185 hours of construction monitoring experience. She has completed approximately 70 days conducting blunt-nosed leopard lizard surveys classifying her as a "Level II" researcher based on the CDFG May 2004 Draft Approved Survey Methodology for the Blunt-nosed Leopard Lizard. Ms. Campbell received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Witworth University in Spokane, WA.

Shannon Gleason Biologist -Ms. Gleason joined MBI in May 2011 after working in the medical field for two years following her graduation from University of California, Santa Barbara. Ms. Gleason provides biological consulting support for MBI projects including, conducting general biological inventories and focused surveys for threatened and endangered species of the San Joaquin Valley. She also assists with biological monitoring for various projects in central California. Ms. Gleason has approximately 30 days of blunt-nosed leopard lizard surveys to classify her as a "Level I" researcher based on the CDFG May 2004 Draft Approved Survey Methodology for the Blunt-nosed Leopard Lizard. Ms. Gleason received a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Evolution from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
